Have you ever entered a serious relationship with someone solely on the grounds of shared tastes, then regretted it?

Sadly, yes I have had relationships such as that but I can't say that completely regret any of them- you can always learn from experience if you let yourself. Sometimes having one or many shared tastes or mutual interests isn't enough. When I was a teenager I had one or two relationships start based on the fact that we liked cloves and one started over a Batmobile-like remote controlled car. As an adult I made the mistake of entering into a few relationships because the other party shared and/or was interested enough in my tastes that we misinterpreted the chance to teach/mentor for a chance to date. In most cases the friendship lasted after the dating ended, but it was a hard lesson to learn. I have learned that lesson, and recently learned that you can have a really good time time with people who have shared tastes, and that it's ok not to turn really good times into a relationship that isn't meant to be.

Step right up...
